Below is an accommodation received by the Rockland County Conservation Association from the New York State Assembly for making a significant influence in the quality of life of the community.

COMMEMORATING the 70th Anniversary of the
Rockland County Conservation Association, Inc. to be
celebrated February 10, 2000

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Assembled Body to commend those illustrious

organizations of the State of New York whose focus and intent have made a substantial

impact on the quality of life in their communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-standing

traditions, it is the sense of this Assembled Body to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of

the Rockland County Conservation Association, Inc. to be celebrated at its Winter Quarterly

Meeting at The United Church of Spring Valley, Spring Valley, New York on Thursday,

February 10, 2000; and

WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1930, the Rockland County Conservation Association

of Pomona, New York has enjoyed a long and distinguished history of service on behalf of

the environment and the people of Rockland County; and

WHEREAS, The success shared by the Rockland County Conservation Association is

in direct correlation to the efforts of the loyal members, past and present, whose involvement

is and has been characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and

an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the organization

and the population it serves; and

WHEREAS, In light of its commitment, dedication, and successful efforts, it is the sense

of this Assembled Body to extend its highest commendation to the Rockland County

Conservation Association; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to commemorate the

70th Anniversary of the Rockland County Conservation Association, Inc. to be celebrated

February 10, 2000; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to the

Rockland County Conservation Association, Inc., P.O. Box 213, Pomona, New York 10970.
