COMMEMORATING the 70th Anniversary of the Rockland
County
Conservation Association to be celebrated April 15, 2000
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious
organizations of the State of New York whose focus and intent have made
a substantial
impact on the quality of life in their communities; and
WHEREAS,
Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-standing
traditions, it is the sense of this Legislative Body to commemorate the 70th
Anniversary of
the Rockland County Conservation Association to be celebrated at Rockland
Community
College on Saturday, April 15, 2000; an array of speeches, songs, poetry and
dance will
be featured to celebrate this auspicious occasion; and
WHEREAS,
Robert Boyle, President of the Hudson River Fishermen's Association, will
serve as this year's Guest Speaker; and
WHEREAS,
Since its inception, the Rockland County Conservation Association has
enjoyed a long and distinguished history of community service; and
WHEREAS,
The success by the Rockland County Conservation Association is in direct
correlation to the efforts of the members whose involvement is and has been
characterized
by an impressive commitment, and unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising
standard
of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the organization and the
population it serves; and
WHEREAS,
In light of its commitment, dedication, and successful efforts, it is the
sense
of this Legislative Body to extend its highest commendation to the Rockland
County
Conservation Association; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED,
That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to commemorate
the
70th Anniversary of the Rockland County Conservation Association to be
celebrated April
15, 2000; and be it further
RESOLVED,
That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to the
Rockland County Conservation Association.
